Maplewinds Clydesdale are going to WCS

Pictures from Cyndi Apsey

Maplewinds Clydesdales is a family run farm. They are located in Spruce, Michigan. Everyone is involved in some way shape or form. From fixing fences to cleaning stalls everyone pitches in. Their show partners are Praireview Clydesdales. They just started showing last year. They feel very fortunate to have met Tony, Deb, Jerry and Joe Wilcenski. They took a leap of faith and became partners. They do a great job of showing the horses. This year has been a very successful show season.

Cyndi Apsey and her family got interested in Clydesdale's after going to an auction to get a wagon for their light driving horse. They saw several drafts for sale there and they came home and started looking at all the different breeds. They decided on Clydesdale because they loved their personality, grace and style. The family has been involved with Clydesdale for the past 14 years. Maplewinds currently has about 30 drafts on their farm. 10 mares, several foals and more geldings, plus two stallions SBH Sultan and City Knight owned by Paulette Galop.

With the Wilcenski family they will be bring 5 horses to show in Halter, line classes. The stock is young but a goal for the future is showing in the hitch classes.

When Maplewinds is not showing, they enjoy just being around the horses. They love being surrounded by these wonderful horses.

They would like to encourage everyone to take the time to come out and visit all the Clydesdales and farms that will be at the world show!
